After an 18 year state championship drought, Valdosta, ranked #35 in the latest High School Football America Top 50, won the school’s 24th overall state football title Friday night with a 17-7 win over Tucker in the Class AAAAAA championship game.

Josh Belton led the way with two touchdown passes. The championship comes in the first year of head coach Alan Rodemaker time leading America’s winningest high school football program.
