Carol City, ranked #38 in High School Football America’s National Top 50, got-out to a 14-0 lead and then let its defense do the work in a 14-6 win over Lake Gibson in the Florida 6A championship game.
Carol City sophomore Nay’quan Wright rushed for 109 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns
The state title was Carol City’s first since 2003 and fifth overall.
