Everyone in Southern California was wondering what would happen when #4 St. John Bosco squared-off with #11 Mater Dei at Santa Ana Stadium Friday night. Both teams are talented, but Bosco had the edge on Mater Dei in the experience category, since the Monarchs were starting six sophomores on offense, plus a talented freshman quarterback named JT Daniels.

Leading the way for St. John Bosco was senior running back Sean McGrew. The Washington verbal commit carried the ball 16 times for 214 yards with touchdowns runs of 81 and 56 yards.
Mater Dei is now 6-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.
