It was an extremely calm week in the High School Football America 100 national high school football rankings with only small changes in the first three-quarters of our rankings that are developed with our proprietary algorithm. St. John’s College High School (Washington, DC) moves from No. 25 to No. 19 after beating former No. 18 Gonzaga 32-28 for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season championship.
There is plenty of shuffling at the bottom of the rankings, plus the addition of four new teams in the Top 100.
Chicago’s Mt. Carmel moves from our On the Bubble rankings (No. 101 through No. 125) to No. 97 this week. The Caravan has reached the Illinois Class 7A quarterfinal round.
Two Texas teams make their first Top 100 appearances this year — Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City) moves to No. 101 to No. 98, while Pickerington Central re-enters the Top 100 at No. 99 after sitting at No. 103 last week.
Six-time defending Tennessee state champ Alcoa is back in the national rankings. Alcoa started the year at No. 87 in the High School Football America 100, but dropped to the bubble after losing to Maryville (Tennessee).
