After 23 years years and five state championships as the head coach at Cathedral Prep in Erie Pennsylvania, Mike Mischler is retiring. He steps-down as the most successful coach in the history of the school.

The Cathedral Prep alum took-over the Ramblers in 1999. Except for a short run as the head coach at Iroquois High from 2006 through 2008, he won 214 games at CP.

After returning as Cathedral Prep’s head coach in 2009, Mischler led the Ramblers to state titles in 2000, 2012 and then three straight from 2016 through 2018. During the three-peat, CP broke into the High School Football America national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. In 2017, the Ramblers finished No. 22 in America.

Mischler led the Ramblers to 16 District 10 championships and his team’s made eleven appearances in the state’s Final Four.
