63 is the magic number for #4 Mater Dei (California)

For the second straight week, Mater Dei, the #4 team in the High School Football America Top 25, scored 63 points.  Friday night, the Monarchs moved to 2-0 with a 63-0 win over Mayfair.

For the second straight week, sophomore quarterback J.T. Daniels was nearly perfect.  Daniels completed 13 of 15 passes for 371 yards and six touchdowns.  Through two games, Daniels has completed 31 of 36 passes for 741 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The most amazing stat, according to OCVarsity, Mater Dei (2-0) only ran the ball once in the first half.  It was a 12 yard gain by Daniels.

Up next week for the Monarchs, La Mirada (1-1), which lost to #1 St. John Bosco 34-0 Friday night.
