No. 57 Edgewater (Florida) beats NFL Academy outside of London

Florida’s Edgewater will have a happy flight back to the United States. The Eagles, ranked No. 57 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat NFL Academy 51-45 in a Kickoff Classic preseason game played in Loughborough, England.

Junior quarterback Carter Emanuel had a big game with three touchdown passes and one rushing score. Tyson Carter caught two of those TD passes.

Joshua Perry ran for three scores for Edgewater, who will open the regular season next week against Wekiva.

NFL Academy, based in London, is made-up of players from 15 different countries. Next week, NFL Academy will be in Portland, Oregon to face No. 11 Massillon Washington from Ohio in the third annual Nike Football Kickoff Classic.
