Atascocita moves from No. 8 to No. 5 in the latest High School Football America Texas Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Eagles make the jump after snapping former No. 5 Westlake’s 44-game regular season win streak.
Westlake, which drops to No. 8, will try to get back into the win column against No. 11 Cibolo Steele this week.
Top-ranked Duncanville solidified its spot at No. 1 with a come-from-behind 28-24 win over Maryland’s St. Frances Academy, which entered the game ranked No. 11 in the HSFA 300 national rankings. The win moves the Panthers from No. 7 to No. 6 in our national rankings.
No. 2 North Shore picked-up a big intra-Top 25 win. The Mustangs blew-out Westfield 47-3, which drops the Mustangs from No. 21 to No. 25.
No. 3 North Crowley continues to impress. The Panthers beat No. 9 Denton Guyer 49-28. Next up for NC is No. 21 Rockwall.
No. 6 Southlake also picked-up a win against another Top 25 team. The Dragons beat Byron Nelson 33-21, dropping the Bobcats from No. 14 to No. 15 in our rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
