Dimond is an Alaska high school football champ for the first time since 2001. Saturday night, the Lynx, No. 1 in the High School Football America Alaska Top 5, powered by NFL Play Football, beat No. 2 West Anchorage 14-7 in the Division I state championship game at Colony High School in Palmer.

The win closes-out a perfect 11-0 season for Dimond.
