We head into the postseason with Massillon Washington No. 1 in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Tigers, who closed-out the regular season with a 16-7 win over arch-rival Canton McKinley in The War of 1894, will open defense of its 2023 Division II title against Licking Valley this Friday.

The team that lost to Massillon Washington in the Division II championship game last year, Archbishop Hoban moves up from No. 5 to No. 3 in this week’s ranking. The Knights move comes after beating former No. 3 St. Edward 16-7.

St. Edward, the reigning three-time Division I champ, falls to No. 4. The Eagles open their drive for a four-peat against Findlay.

As far as the rest of the rankings, Lincoln (Gahanna) re-enters the Top 25 at No. 15 after beating former No. 13 Pickerington North. The win gives the Lions the Ohio Capital Conference Ohio Division championship and drops PN to No. 16.
