St. Frances Academy (7-3) snapped a two-game losing streak to fellow national power IMG Academy Friday night. The Panthers beat the No. 5 Ascenders 30-3 at Morgan State University in Baltimore.
After IMG (6-2) opened with a field goal, but it was all SFA after that as the Panthers snapped the Ascenders’ six-game win streak.
SFA has now won five straight. The Panthers three loses have come against No. 1 Mater Dei (California), No. 4 Duncanville (Texas) and No. 11 Orange Lutheran (California).
The showdown featured 44 players who are rated as 3-star college football prospects or higher.
