Job Overview:

Princeton Community High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Varsity Football Coach to lead our Tigers’ football program. This position requires a passionate individual with a strong commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive team culture, develop players’ skills, and implement a competitive strategy that supports the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, and oversee the high school football program, including practices, games, and off-season training.
  • Create a positive team culture that promotes academic success, personal growth, and athletic excellence.
  • Design and implement strategies, plays, and techniques to build a competitive program.
  • Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with assistant coaches to ensure the program’s success.
  • Promote the program within the school and broader community to encourage participation and support.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, conference, and school regulations, including IHSAA rules.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, school staff, and community members.
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, and the football budget, in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
  • Engage in and provide guidance and support the Tiger Youth Football program and youth coaches.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school varsity level or higher, with demonstrated success in developing competitive teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of coaching principles, techniques, and football strategy.
  • Commitment to student-athlete well-being, including fostering academic and personal growth.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Extra Curricular Stipend of $7,922.13 (if eligible for TRF, 3% TRF Contribution is paid by the district making total compensation $8,160)
