The 6A playoff bracket will have a big role in the next High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by N FL Play Football. Five of this week’s eight second round games in 6A are head-to-head matchups in our Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.

There’s one head-to-head in 5A where No. 12 Roswell travles to No. 19 Langston Hughes.

One of the biggest upsets of Round 1 was in 5A where former No. 14 Gainesville was beaten by Sequoyah, dropping the Red Elephants out of the statewide rankings. The win moved Sequoyah into the HSFA 300 national rankings for the first time ever. The Chiefs are currently ranked No. 239 in the Top 300. Gainesville fell from No. 80 to No. 242.
