For the first time ever, Greely is a Maine high school football champ. The Rangers captured the 8-Man Large Division state championship with a 58-20 win over Mt. Ararat/Hyde in the title game at Kennebunk High School.
“Getting Greely’s first state championship, it’s an amazing feeling,” Greely senior Ben McCarron told WMTW-TV. “We came last year and we got blown out. We’ve all been feeling that since then. We all just worked so hard all summer and all fall to get back here.”
