8 Massachusetts high school football champs to be crowned at Gillette Stadium

For the next three days, Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, will be the center of the Massachusetts high school football world. The NFL team and owner Bob Kraft will host sixteen teams playing for state championships. It’s the 27th year that the Kraft family and the Patriots welcome teams to the NFL stadium for state championships, known as Super Bowls in Massachusetts.

After more than 100 playoff football games across the state over a four-week span, 16 teams earned the chance to compete in the home of the six-time NFL Super Bowl champs.

Headlling the eight game slate are the Division 1 and Division 2 Super Bowls featuring head-to-head matchups in the High School Football America Massachusetts Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Both games are on Thursday.

In the Division 1 championship, No. 2 Needham plays No. 4 Xaverian Brothers, the reigning Super Bowl champ. The Division 2 Super Bowl matches top-ranked Catholic Memorial and defending state champ King Philip Regional, ranked No. 2 in our statewide rankings.
