Led by Rawls Patterson, Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) won its second straight Tennessee Division II-AA high school football championship. Patterson ran for 336 yards with four touchdowns in a 38-26 win over Battle Ground Academy at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.

Patterson’s performance lands him the Blue Cross Bowl MVP.

The title is the seventh overall for CPA, which entered the game ranked No. 100 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Lions are coached by former NFL quarterback Ingle Martin, who now has led the program to four of the seven state championships.
