For the first time since 2007, Columbus Carver is a Georgia high school football champ. Tuesday, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, beat Burke County 52-14 for the Class 2A state championship.

Matthew Mungin had a great game, completing 19 of 20 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Kei’Maurii Miles caught seven of those completions for for 179 yards.
