4-star college football prospect Davon Benjamin of Oaks Christian (California) will be the Los Angeles Rams representative at next month’s Nike Next Ones during Super Bowl LIX weekend in New Orleans. The defensive back led the Lions with six interceptions last year and a fumble recovery.
The Nike Next Ones is a one-day combine where 33 players will showcase their talents and receive guidance from NFL Legends and elite mentors. At last year’s event in Las Vegas, Pro Football Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson and Michael Vick were part of the VIP experience for 34 high schoolers.
Each National Football League team, plus Europe’s NFL Academy, selects a high school player, who will take part in the event
Benjamin also played wide receiver for OC, which finished No. 184 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. He was tied for the second most catches on the team with 34. He averaged 11.9 yards per catch with two touchdowns.
Currently, Benjamin has 23 college scholarship offers, according to 247Sports.
