Monterey tops Lubbock in Silver Spurs rivalry game

Lubbock scored on its first drive of the game to take an early lead on Monterey in the annual Silver Spurs rivalry game between the two schools, but then the Plainsmen reeled-off 21 unanswered points in a 49-20 victory.

It was the 60th game in the series between the two Lubbock schools.
