One of my favorite High School Football America radio shows was back in 2011 when I had the two winningest high school football coaches on the same show. Not much has changed since August 11, 2011 for John McKissick of Summerville High School in South Carolina and J.T. Curtis of John Curtis in Louisiana other than they’ve won more games to remain #1 and #2 on the all-time wins list.
Friday night, McKissick picked-up win #614 with a 30-9 victory over Providence. McKissick, who turns 88 on September 25th, is in his 63rd year as Summerville’s head coach. McKissick’s all-time record is 614-151-13.
Curtis who was winless in his first season with the Patriots enters this season with 530 victories. His all-time record is 530-56-6.
You can listen to these coaching icons above.
The most amazing fact about the all-time wins list is that eight of the Top 10 are still coaching.
