Top-seeded Notre Dame (13-0) of Riverside will be looking for its first CIF-Southern Section title since 1977 when its faces Linfield Christian on Saturday in the Northwest Division (XI) final. The undefeated Titans are the top-seed in the division thanks to a defense that has allowed only 91 points this year.
Senior Isiah Guerrero leads the defense with 114 tackles and three sacks. As a team, Notre Dame has 34 sacks and has forced 38 turnovers. Ian Zamudio, who is the team’s leading rusher, has six interceptions this season.
Junior quarterback Niles Harrell has completed over 60% of his passes for 1,826 yards with 27 TDs and seven interceptions.
Like ND, Linfield Christian (12-1) is averaging over 40 points per game on offense.
The Lions have two 1,000 yard rushers in senior Zac Archer (1,170 yards), who has 21 touchdowns, and Lorenzo Burns, who’s rushed for 1,036 yards and nine TDs.
On defense, Greg Holt has an incredible 193 tackles this season, with 131 of them being of the solo variety and 37.5 for loss with eight sacks.
