USA TODAY High School Sports is a partner of High School Football America

We are a long way from National Signing Day next February — and no commitment is official until a player signs — but a number of programs well on their way in the Class of 2017.

USA TODAY High School Sports’ first Composite Team Recruiting Rankings for 2017 represent an average of the rankings by the four major recruiting services: 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout. ESPN’s current rankings include the Top 15 so schools not listed were awarded a 16 for average purposes.

Ohio State is a unanimous No. 1 with 13 commitments, including two five-star prospects and 10 four-star prospects. Oklahoma is ranked No. 2 with No. 2 rankings by three of the four sites.
