#7 Bishop Gorman‘s brutal interstate schedule continues tonight in Southern California when the 5-time Nevada state champs take-on Corona Centennial.
The Gaels, who have already beaten two nationally-ranked teams in Servite (California) and Bingham (Utah), will be facing a Centennial team team put-up 643 yards in total offense last week in a 52-49 win over Orange Lutheran, which avoided the school’s first 0-2 start since 1998. Running back J.J. Taylor led the Huskies ground attack with 266 yards and two touchdowns.
Bishop Gorman, which still has games against Southern California powers Santa Margarita (September 19) and #6 St. John Bosco (September 26), has a potent running game that is averaging 229 yards a game. Running back Russell Booze leads the team with 283 yards and six TD’s.
