Rush Probst, head football coach of Colquitt County (Moultrie, Georgia), which won High School Football America’s “mythical” national championship in 2015, has had his teaching certificate suspended for one year by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, which means Probst may not be able to coach the two-time Georgia AAAAAA champs in 2016.  The suspension is the result of an incident during last year’s state semifinal game against Mill Creek, when Probst reportedly head-butted a player, leaving him bloodied on the sidelines.

Probst, who was not reprimanded by the school or the Georgia High School Association, says he will appeal the decision.  He is still allowed to coach will he appeals the commission’s decision

Colquitt County enters 2016 with a 30-game win streak.
