The top six teams in last week’s High School Football America National Media Compilation Poll held their spots in the rankings.  However, #3 St. John Bosco (California), #4 Mater Dei (California), #5 Booker T. Washington (Florida) and #6 DeMatha (Maryland) all picked-up points that closes the gap on #1 Bishop Gorman.

On Friday, Bishop Gorman, ranked #1 in the USA TODAY Super 25, MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25 and PrepNation’s National Prep Poll, will square-off with our top-ranked team, St. John Bosco in Southern California.  Gorman currently has 99 out of a possible 100 points under our system that awards points to a team on the basis of its ranking in each poll.  For example, the #1 team receives 25 points, the #2 team receives 24 points and so forth down to #25.

There are three new teams in this week’s media poll — American Heritage (Plantation, Florida), Warren Central (Indiana) and Bingham (Utah).
