Corona Centennial, ranked #15 in the High School Football America National Top 25, defeated Liberty (3-1), the #2 ranked team in our Nevada Top 5, 49-32 Friday night, however, the Huskies may be without the services of junior quarterback Tanner McKee.
According to The Press Enterprise, McKee may have suffered a concussion after leading the Huskies to five touchdowns in five possessions to start the game. The newspaper is reporting that McKee had “taken a pretty hard hit on a quarterback keeper.”
With McKee out, Corona Centennial (4-1) put the ball in the very capable hands of running back Miles Reed, who finished with 220 yards on 32 carries with four touchdowns.
The good news for Husky fans is that the team now enters its bye week, before opening Big VIII League play on October 7th.
