Three losses by Top 10 teams is what shakes-up this week’s High School Football America Southern California Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.

The top five teams held their spots, led by top-ranked Mater Dei, which finished an impressive run of non-league games that saw the Monarchs’ offense top sixty points three times and the defense pitch three shutouts.

The Trinity League will open on October 7th with all six of its teams ranked — #1 Mater Dei, #2 St. John Bosco, #7 JSerra, #9 Santa Margarita, #11 Servite and #13 Orange Lutheran.

Serra, after an 0-3 start moves back into the SoCal Top 25 at #16 after its win over previous #7 Chaminade.  The Eagles slip twelve spots to #19.  Also taking a big tumble was Oaks Christian, which fell from #6 to #18.

Don’t expect a whole lot of changes next week as thirteen of the Top 25 teams will be on their bye week.

The biggest game will be #20 Calabasas taking-on #25 Valencia.
