Edgar used a strong running game to capture Wisconsin’s Division 7 state football title with a 36-6 win over Shullsburg on Thursday. Senior running back Alec Hafferman rushed for 136 yards and scored three touchdowns.
The victory gave Edgar head coach Jerry Sinz‘s seventh state championship in his 42 years of coaching.

Edgar, which outscored its playoff opponents 182-33, finishes 11-3, while Shullsburg also finishes with an 11-3 mark.
