Class B title goes to Brunswick

After back-to-back runner-up finishes, Brunswick finally grabbed gold Friday night, beating Kennebuck 28-6 to win Maine’s Class B high school football state title.  The Dragons, who finish a perfect 11-0, hadn’t won a state title since 1963, which was before the Maine Principals’ Association began playing state championship games.

Brunswick entered the game ranked #2 in the High School Football America Top 5. Kennebunk, which finishes 11-1, was ranked #3.
