#17 Euless Trinity & #22 Skyline capture Thursday night victories in Texas

Euless Trinity High School football logoThursday night, #17 Euless Trinity did its part to set-up next week’s Texas District 7-6A showdown with #15 Southlake Carroll.  The Trojans improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in district play with an easy 48-3 victory over Bell. Tonight the Dragons will try to improve to 6-0 and 2-0 in district play when they face Richland (3-3), which is 2-0 in the district.

Thursday night, Trinity put-up 546 yards in total offense with running back Ja’Ron Wilson rushing for 123 yards of that total. Wilson scored two touchdowns on the ground, while quarterback Tyler Natee threw for two TDs and ran for a third.  The Trinity defense held Bell (0-7, 0-3) to just nine first downs.

#22 Skyline (6-0) improved to 3-0 in District 9-6A with a 54-0 shutout of Nimitz, which entered the game 2-0 in district play.  Quarterback K.C. Johnson accounted for five Raider touchdowns in the first half – three passing and two rushing.  Johnson passed for 182 yards in the victory.

Next week Skyline plays White, which improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in district play with a 47-7 win over Sunset.
