St. John Bosco‘s 49-47 win over Corona Centennial in their Southern California showdown last Friday moved the Braves up to #7 in the latest High School Football America National Top 25 Media Poll that includes the USA TODAY Super 25MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25 and PrepNation’s National Prep Poll.  Our media poll awards points to a team on the basis of its ranking in each poll.  For example, the #1 team receives 25 points, the #2 team receives 24 points and so forth.

St. John Bosco, which plays #3 Mater Dei this week in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship game, moved-up four spots, because it was bumped-up in all four national ranking services.  Corona Centennial, whose season is now over, tumbles six spots to #12.

Grayson (Georgia) and Cass Tech, on the heels of its Michigan Division 1 title, jumped three spots each to #6 and #13 respectively.

There are four new teams in this week’s compilation poll — Chandler (Arizona) at tied for #21, Oakland (Tennessee) at #23, St. Ignatius (Ohio) at #24 and East St. Louis (Illinois) at #25.  St. Ignatius is the only team that is ranked by all four national ranking services.
