The 2012 high school football season is officially over…other than for some national and local all-star games for seniors.
What a season it was!
Now, it’s time for High School Football America to name its national champ.
As most of you know, we like to also use the word “mythical” in-front of national champ, because ultimately, there’s really no way to do this scientifically, although we are working on an algorithm for 2013.
There are some years when a team rises head-and-shoulders above the pack, but, for the most part, each year there could be anywhere from five to eight teams that could lay claim to the “mythical” title. That’s the case this year with several teams having outstanding seasons.
We salute all of them!
However, we need to name a national champ…or in this case…two.
Drum roll please!
Our choice could have gone many ways, but in the end, the Allen Eagles from Texas and John Curtis from Louisiana are our 2012 “mythical” co-national champs.
Below is the entire Top 25 with the team’s original Week 1 ranking.
