High School Football America Florida Top 25 – Week 1

Deerfield Beach makes a big move in the latest High School Football America Florida Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.  The Bucks climb from their No. 17 preseason ranking to No. 8 this week after beating former No. 7 Carol City 6-2.

The victory popped the Bucks into our national Top 100 at No. 68.  On Saturday, Deerfield Beach will test its new national ranking against St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey), which is ranked No. 7 in the nation.  There are currently thirteen Florida teams in our national rankings.

Thursday night, No. 5 Miami Central, which moves-up three spots in the latest Florida Top 25, will take-on No. 12 in its annual Miami battle.  Central is ranked No. 46 nationally, while BTW comes-in at No. 92.

Top-ranked IMG Academy is out west again this week.  The Ascenders bring a 30 game win streak into its clash with Corona Centennial (California), ranked No. 9 in the Top 100. It’s a rematch between the two that saw IMG pull-out a 50-49 win with :12 seconds to go in the game.  Last week, IMG beat then No. 11 Chandler in Arizona.

No. 4 American Heritage (Plantation) also has a Top 100 out-of-state game this week.  It will be a battle of Patriots when AH squares-off with Liberty from Nevada, which is ranked No. 37 in the nation.
