Buford High School Wolves footballBuford found itself in trouble for the first time all year in the Georgia AAAA championship game on Saturday at the Georgia Dome, however, the Wolves did what all championship-caliber teams do – they dug deep.

Buford, which finished the regular season ranked #14 in the High School Football America Top 25, assured itself of a Top 20 finish when our final rankings come-out next week by beating St. Pius X 55-10 for its third straight state title.  The final score is a bit deceiving because Buford trailed 10-0 with 4:18 to go in the first quarter, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The Wolves have now won ten state titles since 2001 and will bring a 40-game win streak in the 2015 season.
