With multiple battles each week within the High School Football America San Diego Top 20, expect lots of changes between now and the end regular season.
Mission Hills strengthened its hold on the No. 1 ranking with its 24-13 win against La Costa Canyon, which moves-up two spots, even with the loss, because St. Augustine knocked-off former No. 3 Madison, which falls to No. 4 this week. St. Augustine is up two to No. 10.
This week, Mission Hills squares-off with No. 10 El Camino, La Costa Canyon meets No. 8 San Marcos and No. 7 Torrey Pines takes-on No. 9 Carlsbad.
Madison will try to get back in the win column when it faces No. 14 Point Loma in the Western League.
And in the Metro Mesa League, No. 18 Eastlake takes-on No. 20 Mater Dei with bottom teams unbeaten in league play.
New to the ranking this week is Otay Ranch at No. 17 after knocking-off former Eastlake, which falls three spots from last week’s ranking.
