No. 75 Chaminade-Madonna claims Florida 3A title on last second FB

Florida’s 3A high school football championship game came down to the final play. Chaminade’Madonna kicker Daniel Longman booted a 19-yard field goal with four seconds left to give the Lions, ranked No. 75 in the High School Football America Top 100, a 31-28 win over the ThunderWolves.

The field goal gave the C-M its first state championship since 2005.

The Lions were led by senior running back Shaun Shivers, who ran for 216 yards and two touchdowns. The Auburn-recruit finished his senior season with 2,241 yards rushing.

Chaminade-Madonna finishes the season 11-2, while Oxbridge ends 10-2.
