Muenster beat Tenaha 27-21 on Thursday to capture Texas’ Class 2A Division II state championship at AT&T Stadium. Muenster becomes first UIL school to win three UIL state championships in the same calendar year. Earlier this year, the Tigers won a state baseball title and a boys’ state basketball title.
First time in the state of Texas that a single school has one a basketball state title, a baseball state title and a football state title. Back-to-back-to-back!@Muenster_ISD Head coach Brady Carney is speechless! #UILonFOX pic.twitter.com/SuELrm9RBn
