The Honor Bowl looking for two teams for 2015 in Oceanside, California

The Honor Bowl high school footballThe Honor Bowl Executive Director Mark Soto is putting together another phenomenal field for the fifth annual high school kickoff event that will be played August 29th at a site to be determined in Northern California and September 4th and 5th at Oceanside High School in Southern California.

Soto confirmed today that the Oceanside event will once again feature five games with Cathedral Catholic, Corona Centennial, Helix, Oaks ChristianOceanside, Orange Lutheran and Gardena’s Serra locked-in from Southern California and Eastside Catholic from Washington heading south for the two-day event.  The seven SoCal teams took part in last year’s event, while Eastside will be making its first appearance in The Honor Bowl.  Last year, Eastside captured Washington’s 3A state title, beating Bellevue in the championship game.  Bellevue, which beat Serra in last year’s Honor Bowl, was riding a 67-game win streak and had won six straight state titles.
