Colerain and St. Xavier, two of the top teams in the Cincinnati area will continue their rivalry at least through the 2020 season. On Friday, the two schools announced a two-year extension to the series that is led by St. X 22-14.
The two schools will play this year at St. X on August 31st this season. The 2019 game will be played at Colerain with the 2020 game at St. Xavier. Both games will be played during Week 2.
Over the last four years, these two have faced each other during the regular season and again in the postseason. St. X won the regular season game 20-17 in overtime, but Colerain 21-14 in the Division I state quarterfinals.
St. Xavier finished No. 59 in the High School Football America Top 100 last season.
