For the first time since 2015, Florida high school football is the big winner in the NFL Draft. Thirty-five former Florida high school football players were drafted over three days at the 2018 NFL Draft that was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Not only was the Sunshine State eight picks better than California and Texas, who had 27 players each selected, but two Florida teams — Miami’s Booker T. Washington and Lakewood — had three players each chosen over seven rounds. Jacksonville’s Trinity Christian Academy had two players selected.

Other high schools with multiple former players selected are: Alief Taylor (Texas), Callaway (Mississippi), Dan River (Virginia), Imhotep Charter (Pennsylvania), Narbonne (California), Norcross (Georgia), Oscar Smith (Virginia), Serra (Gardena, California) and Stonewall Jackson (Virginia).
38 different states, plus Washington DC had players chosen. In addition, Australia (2) and Canada (1) had players picked.
