New Jersey high school football coach says he has been forced out for the racial makeup of his team

According to the Courier Post, Camden Catholic High School head coach Nick Strom is saying that he been released as the school’s head coach because he has too many black players on the team.  Strom has been the school’s head football and golf coach.

The school released a statement that the newspaper ran that states the follow:

“We do not comment on personnel matters, but it has come to our attention that he has chosen to muddy the reasons for his dismissal with baseless accusations against the school and administration,” it read. “Any concern about racism or racial insensitivity is taken seriously and investigated fully.”

Other media reports indicate that Strom has retained a lawyer.

Last year, Camden Catholic finished 8-2, losing in the opening round of the Non-Public Group 3 state playoffs.
