The 3rd annual Cotton Bowl Stadium Prep Showcase will feature two teams that finished 2017 ranked in the High School Football America 100. The four-game event will be played September 7th and 8th.
The Friday night doubleheader will start with Waco Midway, which finished No. 82 in our national rankings last year, faces Mansfield Lake Ridge. Last season, Lake Ridge finished 12-2, losing to eventual Class 5A Division I champ Highland Park in the state quarterfinals. The Friday nightcap will have Cedar Hill meeting Denton Guyer.
On Saturday, Lake Highlands will play Plano East, followed by Euless Trinity, which finished No. 55 in the HSFA 100, taking-on Sachse, which advanced to the third round of the Class 6A Division I playoffs. The Trojans also lost in the third round of the playoffs, losing to Allen, which finished No. 2 in the nation.
