The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association has released its thoughts on the statewide football-only realignment plan for 2020. The goal of realignment, that still hasn’t been discussed by the state’s governing body, is to create uniformity in football conferences with eight team conferences. Conferences with seven members will have “sister conferences” with crossover games which count as conference games.

The WFCA plan will be discussed in the fall by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association members, which would be before a vote by the WIAA Board of Control.
