We’ll be releasing our Preseason Texas 25 high school football rankings later this week. Of course, with fourteen teams in our Preseason 100 that we released on July 1 and another two teams On the Bubble from No. 101 to No. 125, you already know the top sixteen teams.

Monday, the Associated Press released its media polls and it looks like our proprietary algorithm that produces our rankings did a pretty nice job when compared to the opinion poll.

Allen, ranked No. 2 in our national rankings, is the top team in Class 6A, while Aledo, ranked No. 41 in our Preseason 100, is the top pick in 5A.

The first three teams in 6A match-up with our top three teams. After Allen in the Preseason, Lake Travis checks-in at No. 16, followed by Katy at No. 21.
