The 2018 Texas high school football season kicks-off tonight with two teams in the High School Football America Top 100 national rankings beginning their season. No. 79 Southlake Carroll faces South Grand Prairie, while No. 95 Klein Collins meets Alief Taylor. In our just released Preseason Texas Top 25, Southlake Carroll is No. 10 and Klein Collins is No. 12.

Fourteen Texas teams begin the season ranked in the HSFA 100, led by No. 1 Allen. The Eagles, who are ranked No. 2 in the nation, open Friday against Horn.

The Game of the Week will be at Legacy Stadium in Katy Friday night where the Tigers, No. 23 in the nation and No. 3 in the Texas 25, plays North Shore, ranked No. 32 in the HSFA and No. 4 in the statewide rankings.
