Colquitt County is the new No. 1 team in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25. The Packers, who also moved-up to No. 16 in our national rankings, are off to a 3-0 start with two big Top 25 showdowns in the next three weeks.
After facing Valdosta, a Preseason Georgia Top 25, team this week, Colquitt County will square-off with No. 11 Warner Robins on September 14 and Grayson on September 21.
Grayson fell from No. 1 to No. 2 in our statewide rankings after losing to nationally-ranked Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) on Friday. The Rams dropped from No. 2 to No. 26 in our national rankings. This week, Grayson will face No. 18 Marietta.
In addition to the Grayson-Marietta Top 25 matchup, there are three other head-to-head matchups in the Top 25. No. 7 Cedar Grove has a big test against No. 14 McEachern, while No. 10 Archer taking-on No. 19 Mill Creek and No. 15 Marist plays No. 24 Westminster.
Lee County is the biggest mover this week, jumping from No. 17 to No. 12. New to the rankings this week is St. Pius X at No. 23 after its win over former No. 20 Westminster.
