After a 1-4 start that included a three-point loss to No. 1 St. Anthony’s and an overtime loss to No. 2 Iona Prep, the Crusaders have ripped-off three straight wins including a 23-20 defeat of former No. 6 Cardinal Hayes Sunday night.
Heading into the Catholic High School Football League of Metropolitan New York AAA playoffs, Stepinac is up five spots this week to No. 5 in our statewide rankings. The loss to Stepinac drops Hayes out of the Top 10, opening the door for Cornwall Central at No. 10.
