There are no changes in the latest High School Football America Alabama Top 10, but hold on to your hats as the quarterfinal round of the Class 7A playoffs should shake things up for next week.

There are three head-to-head Top 10 matchups this week starting with No. 1 Central (Phenix City) meeting No. 9 McGill-Toolen. The winner gets the winner of the game between No. 10 Auburn and Lee (Mongomery).

In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 Hoover goes against Mountain Brook. Hoover won the regular season game 31-7. That winner gets the winner of No. 3 Thompson and No. 5 Hewitt-Trussville. During their regular season matchup, Thompson won a 63-49 shootout.

The top five teams in the statewide rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm are also ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.

In the second round of the 6A playoffs, No. 7 Clay-Chalkville will do battle with No. 8 Hartselle.
