For the first time ever New Jersey high school football teams will be playing an “extra” game this year as the state crawls toward eventually crowning an overall state champion. Over the next two weekends, MetLife Stadium will host 10 “Bowl Games” pitting sectional football champions against each other, plus the three Non-Public championship games.

On Saturday, the Non-Public Group 4 championship features a battle between nationally-ranked Bergen Catholic and St. Joseph Regional (Montvale). BC enters the game ranked No. 17 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, while St. Joe’s is No. 30. During their regular season matchup, BC won 24-20.
