It’s been a fun two weeks so far in Tarpon Territory, kicking off the 2019 season. As I said last time, the excitement of training camp is still there after 24-years. Everything is new and energized. A fresh beginning. It’s just the start of something special every single year. It never gets old.

Practice has been crisp. Now a year into this, everyone is familiar with how we run everything. The kids are flying around in practice and transitioning from different practice segments seamlessly. Practice flows, which is what every coach wants.

The coaching staff has put in a lot of effort over the past calendar year. We are a tight knit bunch and enjoy being around each other. Chemistry is critical amongst the staff. It permeates into the kids. The kind of chemistry we have created here allows us to work well together and get things done.

So far, so good. 2019 is off to a good start. Looking forward to what this season has to offer!

Practice Film

Port Isabel’s new drone

We are a staff that embraces technology. We were fortunate enough to purchase a drone, from Sideline Power, which we use to film our practices.

The view the drone gives us is a game-changer. It really gives you a vantage point that is second to none. We can change angles, altitude, front and back views etc. It is such a great tool for when we break down our practice film.

If anyone has any questions on the drone, feel free to reach out to me. I will gladly fill you in!
